On Saturday, SLC students and parent volunteers went to Seven Oaks Senior Center to give a presentation and group demonstration on the various types of uses for digital devices like cellphones, computers, and more.

I, the associate director, and Tech4Seniors director Joshua Zhou presented the basic functions of your everyday iPhone, Android, Windows/Mac computer, and introduced several warning signs of scams and online dangers seniors are most susceptible to. During this hour-and-a-half-long presentation, we covered photo editing, message sending, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, troubleshooting strategies, and other commonly asked questions. We ended the conference with one-on-one sessions between our helpers and the seniors, helping them solve specific individual needs.
